Two paced back and forth, pulling her fingers off and letting them snap back in place. She hadn’t blinked in the fifteen minutes Nos had been standing with her, her eyeforms pointed down toward the carpet. She radiated high-frequency anxiety. Nos fidgeted.
What could he do to help? The problem seemed beyond him, it wasn’t like he could solve it. What did she always do to comfort him? He watched her tugging her fingers and drifting in circles and knew he’d go mad if he didn’t try something soon.
At a loss, the Energy Vampire grabbed the edges of his cloak and stretched it out as far as it could go. Two hovered, completely unaware, straight into his arms. He closed them around her so that she was completely covered.
Nos felt her go completely still, so he rested his head awkwardly on top of hers.
Two blinked. Nos wasn’t sure what to say. She closed her eyeforms and rested her head against his chest.

Two tends to put her work off until she freaks out. Early on, while Nos is still growing out of being stoic and distant, he doesn't really know how to comfort her. He can be romantic, flirty, and flattering, but when it comes to things like this, he's clueless. The worst part is when Two has harder days missing her sisters. Nos doesn't feel right trying to comfort her -- how many families had he broken? -- but he eventually moves past that and learns how to be there for her when she needs it. When this story takes place, he's still just trying things out. Two appreciates the effort.
Sorry I've been unresponsive lately. I have been working on "Meet Asteri," but a lot of real life stuff has been happening, too. Just this weekend, I went from being a dependent high schooler to a registered-to-vote citizen with a car and a job! It's a lot to process... I don't know how to handle it yet. I'm mostly just tired. I haven't even graduated yet... I'm so tired.

Aww! I think I'd do that if someone acted like that. I'd probably hug them and never let them go until they calmed down. That's what I'd want someone to do for me whenever I have an anxiety attack. Which I have before. So I understand what it's like.
